Men’s Sexual Health Clinic – specialized help in Copenhagen at MS Insight

What is a Sexual Health Clinic – and what can I help with?

As a man, seeking help for intimate problems can feel overwhelming. I understand that. At my sexual health clinic, MS Insight in Copenhagen, I meet you without taboos and with professionalism that makes a real difference. I help men who experience erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain, penile curvature, incontinence or concerns about performance, desire and pleasure.

I work in an evidence-based and targeted way. This means that I combine a thorough assessment (including ultrasound scans) with tailored treatments using technologies such as focused sound waves (shockwave therapy), EMTT (electromagnetic transduction therapy) and neuromodulation. In short, neuromodulation is the gentle stimulation of nerve signals to reduce overactivity and restore normal function. At the same time, you get specific advice on lifestyle, sleep, stress, pelvic floor and the psychological aspect of sexuality – always translated into concrete, realistic steps.

I have clients from all over Denmark, especially Copenhagen and Zealand. You don’t need a referral to start a program, and all contact is confidential and respectful.

Issues I see most often in my sexual health clinic

Erectile dysfunction (erectile dysfunction)

Erectile dysfunction is common – and usually possible to improve. It can be caused by vascular changes, nervous disorders, hormonal imbalances, side effects from medication, pelvic floor function or psychological factors such as performance pressure, stress and worry.

This is how I work:

  • Identifies the pattern of symptoms, triggers and your goals for everyday life and sex life
  • Examines blood flow, tissue and muscle tension with ultrasound and functional tests
  • Intervenes with a combination of focused sound waves, EMTT, neuromodulation, targeted exercises and lifestyle advice
  • Guides you to talk to your doctor about relevant blood tests or medical options when it makes sense
  • Introduces practical strategies (e.g. pacing, stimulation, breathing and timing) for calmness and control

The goal is a more stable, natural and lasting erection – without promising miracles. I work with what affects your body and everyday life, and I give you simple ways to track progress so you can see what works.

Peyronie’s disease (penile curvature and scar tissue)

Peyronie’s disease is caused by scar tissue (plaque/penile plaque) in the shaft of the penis. It can cause curvature, pain on erection, pain in the bulge and affect self-confidence and sex life.

My approach:

  • Ultrasound scans to assess tissue, location and extent – and to track changes over time
  • Treatment with focused sound waves to reduce pain and influence tissue remodeling
  • Advice on training, stretching and handling intercourse during the process (including gentle positions and aids)
  • Psychosexual support to help you and your partner navigate the changes with confidence

Courses are customized to the degree of curvature, pain and your goals. Some experience functional improvement and pain reduction, others primarily better handling and less discomfort. I’m honest about options and limitations and help you make informed choices.

Chronic pelvic pain (CPPS) and the pudendal nerve

Chronic pelvic pain can feel like pressure, burning, tightness or discomfort in the penis, scrotum, perineum, around the rectum or down towards the inner thigh. Often the pelvic floor muscles and the sensitivity of the pudendal nerve play a key role. Stress, lack of sleep and previous injuries can exacerbate symptoms.

In a CPPS program, I combine:

  • Thorough mapping of symptom triggers and patterns (e.g. postures, activity, food, stress levels)
  • Ultrasound and functional tests of the pelvic floor and surrounding tissues
  • Neuromodulation and EMTT to calm nervous system overreaction
  • Targeted relaxation, breathing, movement and graduated training
  • Advice on sleep, stress and practical strategies for everyday life and sex life

The goal is less pain, stronger control and greater freedom in everyday life. I’ll teach you how to prevent flare-ups, adjust load and use simple techniques when symptoms flare up, so you quickly regain composure and function.

Incontinence and leakage

Dribbling, leaking when coughing or exercising, or after prostate-related treatment or surgery is more common than most people think. It’s not something you have to live with.

My efforts:

  • Assessing pelvic floor strength, timing and endurance – both at rest and under load
  • Training program focusing on proper activation, coordination and progression (short and long spans, combined with breathing)
  • Neuromodulation/EMTT when needed to improve muscle and nerve function
  • Advice on fluid habits, toilet habits, bladder training and load management

The goal is better control and confidence in both everyday and intimate life. I give you concrete strategies you can use from the very first week, so you’ll see progress early on.

Sexual performance, desire and psychosexual well-being

Performance pressure, reduced desire, premature ejaculation and worries about “making it” are common concerns. Here I work at the intersection of body and mind:

  • Concrete exercises and behavioral techniques for calm and control (e.g. pacing, focus, pausing and edging strategies)
  • Knowledge about pleasure, stimulation and communication that reduces pressure and increases presence
  • The role of the pelvic floor in timing, tension and relaxation
  • Correlation with sleep, stress and everyday habits – and how to influence them in practice

The aim is to rediscover desire, peace and pleasure – on your terms. I offer a simple home practice that feels natural and respectful, with the option to involve your partner if you wish.

This is how a session in my Sexual Health Clinic works

First consultation: calm, respect and clear direction

You tell me what’s bothering you. I ask questions that uncover both symptoms and their impact on your life. I talk to you about your goals – what specifically do you want to achieve? I then assess which examinations are relevant and make a realistic plan. You’ll find out what the next steps are, why those actions make sense, and how we’ll measure progress. I prioritize calm and discretion, so you can ask me anything – without a filter.

Advanced diagnostics: ultrasound scans and functional tests

I use ultrasound scanning to assess tissue, blood vessels and structures in the penis and pelvic area. Ultrasound is high-frequency sound wave imaging – a gentle, precise method that helps identify causes and target treatment. In addition, I use functional tests of pelvic floor muscles and nerve sensitivity. When other tests or scans are relevant, I guide you to talk to your doctor to ensure a coherent and safe approach.

Tailor-made plan – one person, not a standard package

The plan is adjusted according to your progress. I measure what matters to you: Function, pain, control, safety in social situations and sex life. I continuously evaluate with you so that the program is always relevant and effective. You’ll be given clear homework assignments with realistic timeframes, and I’ll help you fit them into your busy schedule so they get done.

Evidence-based treatments in my sexual health clinic

Focused sound waves (shockwave therapy)

Focused sound waves are short, controlled pulses of energy that stimulate the natural healing processes of tissue. In practice, it can:

  • Increase blood vessel function and regeneration (better blood flow)
  • Reduce pain and affect scar tissue
  • Support nerve and tissue regeneration

I use focused sound waves for selected cases of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s-related pain and muscular/connective tissue-related pelvic pain. The treatment is quick, usually well-tolerated and often combined with other interventions for best effect. I always set expectations and explain what you are likely to feel during and after the session.

EMTT – electromagnetic transduction therapy

EMTT is pulsed electromagnetic fields that affect cellular activity, metabolism and healing response. It can be relevant in:

  • Chronic pelvic pain and muscle tension
  • Nerve irritation and soreness
  • Supporting tissue healing after overload

EMTT is non-invasive, takes place over clothing and is painless for most people. I customize the intensity and duration to your needs and tolerance.

Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation is targeted stimulation that dampens overactive pain pathways and normalizes nerve function. It can make a big difference in CPPS and certain types of erectile dysfunction where the nervous system is too “noisy”. I start with low doses and adjust according to response so that the effect is stable and sustainable.

Pelvic floor training and physical rehabilitation

The pelvic floor is central to erection, ejaculation, control and painlessness. I teach you the correct activation and relaxation, tempo and timing for men’s pelvic floor exercises – and build it into your everyday life and sex life. For many, it’s an eye-opener that the pelvic floor can be both too weak and too tight. I use simple biofeedback principles and clear instructions so you can feel the difference and train right from the start.

Lifestyle, sleep and habits – the neglected foundation

Small changes in sleep quality, alcohol, smoking, diet, weight and movement can make a bigger difference than most people think – especially when the goal is better erections, more energy and less pain. I’ll help you with realistic, measurable steps that fit your everyday life. If blood tests or hormone assessments are relevant, I’ll guide you on how to talk to your doctor so that the whole picture is considered.

Psychosexual counseling without taboo

Sex is both body and mind. I work with specific exercises, communication, pleasure and performance management. Not as long therapeutic courses, but as targeted, practical support that makes a difference in everyday life. It’s about restoring confidence and pleasure in sex – in a way that suits you.

What can you realistically expect from a course?

  • Time frame: Many programs last 6-10 weeks, some longer. I evaluate continuously and adjust as needed.
  • Effect: Most people experience improvement in function, pain or control, but pace and degree are individual.
  • Combination therapy: The best results often come from combining technologies with exercises and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Safety: Treatments are gentle and customized to you. Any side effects are typically mild and temporary (e.g. soreness in the treatment area).

My goal is progress you can feel – not empty promises. I aim for lasting improvements that last without constant maintenance treatment whenever possible.

Frequently asked questions about a Sexual Health Clinic

Is it embarrassing to come? How does it work?

It’s perfectly normal to be nervous. My clinic is discreet, calm and respectful. I talk openly and concretely with you about what’s on your mind. Examinations are gentle and only the necessary area is undressed – always with your comfort in focus.

Do the treatments hurt?

Most treatments are painless or associated with mild discomfort. Focused sound waves can feel like pressure/pulses; EMTT is typically just a pulsing sensation; neuromodulation is a mild stimulation. I adjust the intensity as I go.

How many treatments do I need?

It depends on the type and duration of the problem. A typical course for erectile dysfunction or pelvic pain can be 6-8 sessions, often combined with home exercises. I plan individually and adjust according to your response.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are rarely serious. Some experience transient soreness, slight redness or temporary symptom change. I always go through expected reactions in advance.

Can I come if I have previously tried “everything” without effect?

Yes, you can. Many come to me after other attempts. My focus is to identify overlooked pieces (e.g. pelvic floor, nerve sensitivity, sleep, stress, tissue conditions) and target interventions accordingly.

Can treatment be combined with medications such as PDE5 inhibitors?

For many, it makes sense to combine efforts. I’ll guide you on how to talk to your doctor about medical treatment so that the plan is safe and holistic.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can’t. You can contact me directly. If I decide that additional tests or examinations are relevant, I will advise you to take the next step via your own doctor.

Where is the clinic located and can I come from far away?

The clinic is located in Copenhagen near the airport and highway, with easy access from all of Zealand. I also have many clients from the rest of Denmark and the Nordic countries who gather sessions on selected days.
