A groundbreaking day for Shockwave therapy and men’s health
I love the work I do with shockwave therapy and men’s health in the clinic. Helping men regain their confidence, quality of life and physical well-being through evidence-based treatments is both my passion and my calling. That’s why it was a great honor and an inspiring experience to host a Shockwave Expert Meeting yesterday, where we gathered to discuss the latest advances and innovative treatment strategies in the field.
This expert meeting was not just a conference, but a gathering of some of the most talented and visionary specialists in shockwave therapy and men’s health. From all over Europe, we gathered with a common vision: to explore a more holistic approach to shockwave treatments and diagnostics, particularly in relation to erectile dysfunction (ED) and other related health issues.

The meeting brought together experts from several different medical specialties, creating a dynamic and interdisciplinary dialogue on how shockwave therapy can be applied in an even more effective and individualized way. Among the participants were:
Together we formed a team that focused not just on treating symptoms, but on getting to the root causes behind men’s health challenges.
One of the most crucial conclusions from the meeting was that shockwave therapy cannot be considered a “one-size-fits-all” solution. Instead, it is crucial to tailor the treatment based on the individual patient’s health condition, blood circulation and any underlying medical challenges.
The inspiring views presented emphasized the importance of combining shockwave therapy with:
Erectile dysfunction is not just a local problem, but often a symptom of wider health problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and metabolic syndrome. This was emphasized by our cardiology expert who presented the latest data linking ED to endothelial dysfunction and systemic inflammation.
By using shockwave therapy in combination with an in-depth health evaluation, we can not only improve blood flow in the penis, but also contribute to an overall improvement in cardiovascular health. This creates a more long-lasting and sustainable effect than traditional symptomatic treatments such as PDE5 inhibitors (e.g. Viagra).
An important part of our discussion was how we can improve the patient experience and engagement in the treatment process. Many men only seek treatment once their problems have become significant, but a more proactive approach can improve their long-term health.
We discussed:
It was also emphasized how important it is to continue research in the field to ensure that our treatment methods are evidence-based and continuously improved.
This event wasn’t just an end to the year; it was a celebration of collaboration, knowledge and a shared vision to improve men’s health in a holistic way. I am deeply grateful that such outstanding people as Ai Phi, Eirik, Yves De Vos and Botan participated and contributed with their knowledge, commitment and passion.
We are only at the beginning of a new era for shockwave therapy. Our work doesn’t stop here – we will continue to develop and implement innovative strategies to ensure men around the world can access the best possible treatment.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this groundbreaking day. The future of shockwave therapy and men’s health looks brighter than ever!
