Penis filler is a topic many men consider, especially if you want a thicker or more uniform penis. I understand that it can raise both curiosity and concern – so here’s an honest review of what penis filler can do, what risks you need to be aware of, and why cosmetic solutions rarely solve underlying problems like erectile dysfunction or pain. I don’t offer fillers in the clinic, but will guide you to the best alternatives that can actually improve your function, confidence and quality of life – and I offer thorough diagnostics and targeted treatment if you want more than just a new look. Read on for peace of mind and concrete, safe solutions.
Penis filler temporarily increases girth but does not solve erectile dysfunction or pain and carries risks – I offer evidence-based alternatives with a focus on function and well-being.
International speaker & expert in shockwave and EMTT treatment for erectile dysfunction, peyronies & CPPPS.
Considering penis filler? You are far from the only one. Many men contact me because they are curious about the possibility of making their penis thicker or getting a more uniform appearance. At the same time, they may be experiencing erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain or performance concerns. I meet you without taboos and with full respect for the fact that it can be vulnerable to talk about. My job is to give you a professionally clear overview so you can choose the solution that actually helps – not just your appearance, but your function, your confidence and your well-being.
I do not perform do not perform penis filler at MS Insight because I don’t think it makes sense for 99 out of 100 men. I specialize in men’s intimate health with advanced diagnostics (including ultrasound) and evidence-based, non-surgical treatments for erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, chronic pelvic and nerve pain, incontinence and sexual performance issues. I’ll guide you honestly, even if you’re considering filler – and I’ll help you with real treatment if your goal is better function, less pain and more peace of mind. When I scan, I assess the tunica albuginea (the strong lining of the penile shaft), bulging bodies, blood vessels and any scar tissue changes to give you concrete answers and a plan that makes sense in practice.
Penile filler is a cosmetic procedure where a filler is injected into the penile shaft tissue just under the skin to increase girth (thickness) or smooth out irregularities. The goal is primarily aesthetic. Filler is typically not located in the cavernous bodies (corpora cavernosa) but more superficially in the surrounding tissue (the subcutaneous layer around the dartos fascia) and therefore does not directly affect the erection mechanism. The glans (head of the penis) is generally not filled as the tissue here is more vulnerable. The length does not change either; it is primarily a visual and tactile change in circumference – especially when flaccid.
There are several groups of fillers. The most common are:
Silicone penile injections are generally not recommended due to high complication rates and severe, often irreversible damage. It can lead to widespread inflammatory reactions, tissue necrosis and the need for surgical removal of large areas of tissue.
Penis filler can temporarily increase girth and in some cases smooth out minor irregularities when relaxed, not erect. It cannot solve erectile dysfunction, improve blood flow, correct curvature in Peyronie’s disease or treat pelvic pain. Some men find that improved body image reduces performance anxiety, but this is indirect and individual – not a treatment for the root cause of the problem. It’s also important to know that changing girth can affect condom fit and friction; good lubrication and correct condom sizing often become even more important. Filler does not change the length of the penis and may appear less prominent when erect because the tissue is stretched and the filler is distributed differently.
Short answer: No, not directly. Erection depends on blood vessels, nerves, hormones, pelvic floor muscles and psychological factors. Fillers are not placed in the structures that cause erection and therefore do not improve the mechanism itself. If you struggle with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sensitivity changes or pain, it makes much more sense to get a thorough examination and targeted treatment. On the contrary, in some cases, filler can trigger pain, pressure on nerves or inflammation that periodically worsens erection quality – another reason to get a professional assessment before you decide.
Some hope that Penis Filler will take away performance pressure. In my experience, self-confidence is best built on knowledge about the body, realistic expectations and concrete tools. That’s why I also work with sexological counseling, habit change and strengthening body contact – because the brain is the most important sexual “muscle”. If self-image is the main problem, conversation and targeted training is a more robust solution than injections. I give you simple exercises to calm the nervous system, techniques to shift focus from performance to pleasure, and help you communicate confidently with a partner – creating more peace than looks alone can.
All procedures have risks. With penis filler, I see the following in particular – both short- and long-term:
In addition, skin discoloration, prolonged swelling around the foreskin and tightness that makes skin movement less smooth (especially if the filler is too superficial) may occur at times. Allergic reactions are rare but can occur. Complications are often best remedied if they are detected early – that’s why I recommend you act quickly if you suspect infection, severe pain or sudden changes in skin color.
Hyaluronic acid can often be dissolved with hyaluronidase, but this requires experience and is not always complete. Semi-permanent and permanent fillers can rarely be removed without surgery – and even then full correction may be impossible. I offer ultrasound-guided tissue assessment so we can see where the filler is located and what it affects before you decide on the next step. If necessary, I will guide you on how to talk to your doctor or a practitioner with specific filler expertise about resolution or treatment of complications.
When hyaluronidase is used, small, targeted injections are typically placed directly into or around the filler, often spread over several sessions. A small test dose may be relevant to assess response. The enzyme may temporarily affect the body’s own hyaluronic acid in the area, but the tissue will rebuild over time. For permanent products, the effort is more about reducing inflammation, addressing pain and – if necessary – referring for plastic surgery assessment.
The price varies according to the type of filler, number of ml and the provider’s experience. Hyaluronic acid is typically cheaper initially, but requires maintenance as the body gradually breaks it down. The shelf life of HA in the penis is often reported to be 6-24 months. Semi-permanent and permanent products, as mentioned, involve more difficult to manage risks. Therefore, consider not only price here and now – but also the total cost, risk and how you want to feel with a result that cannot be undone. Your lifestyle, metabolism and where the filler is placed will affect durability; I always recommend that you plan based on both likely maintenance and possible adjustments.
Before you consider penis filler, I recommend a thorough professional assessment. In MS Insight, I map out the causes of your symptoms with:
With that knowledge, I can give you an honest answer to what’s best for you – cosmetics, targeted treatment or a combination of psycho-sexual support and physical rehabilitation. I always explain the findings in a way that’s easy to understand, and you’re happy to watch on the screen while I scan. This puts you at ease and makes it easier to choose the solution that actually makes a difference for you.
If your goal is better erections, less pain and more sexual freedom, there are powerful non-surgical options:
All programs are tailored to your goals and your body’s needs. I measure the effect along the way and adjust so that we work where you get the most benefit. When medication is relevant, I discuss the options with you and recommend dialog with your own doctor – and I’m happy to coordinate so that the efforts are coherent and manageable.
Come by with confidence. I regularly see men who after filler experience lumps, pain with erection, decreased sensitivity or concerns that something has gone wrong. I offer an ultrasound-based assessment and a plan for next steps. In the case of hyaluronic acid, a solution can sometimes be hyaluronidase solution from an experienced practitioner – here I guide you on how to engage with your GP or provider. If there are signs of infection (redness, warmth, fever, increasing pain), seek urgent medical attention.
If you have fillers and want treatment for erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s or pain, I customize protocols to take into account where the filler is located. I avoid stressing areas with unevenness and I monitor the tissue closely to ensure safe treatment. Until you’ve been assessed, I advise against hard massage, heavy friction and heat (e.g. sauna) if the area is sore or red. If you have documentation of the type of filler you’ve had, it’s a great help – please bring the name of the product, quantity and date.
The injection itself is typically done with a local anesthetic. Afterwards, swelling and soreness are common for a few days. Pain during erection may occur, especially if the filler lies unevenly or presses on nerves. Ice and gentle handling for the first few days can provide relief; contact your provider or doctor if pain increases.
Some partners notice increased girth or bumps. If there are knots or hard areas, it can be uncomfortable for both of you. Talk openly about boundaries and comfort – it’s important whatever the solution. Using lube and correct condom sizing can improve comfort for both of you.
It can. Some experience reduced or altered sensitivity. Others experience soreness or tingling, especially during an erection. Altered sensitivity can affect pleasure and control over ejaculation. If sensitivity changes, I work with tissue calming, nerve control and specific strategies to reduce over- or under-stimulation.
No, filler does not treat Peyronies. It can mask unevenness in some cases, but it can also exacerbate curvature or pain. For Peyronies, I work with targeted assessment, focused sound waves, tissue strategies and conservative management of pain and function. My goal is to maintain or improve erection quality and reduce discomfort in everyday life.
Generally yes, but only when the area is fully healed and always on an individual basis. I scan to see where the filler is located and adjust the intensity and placement. The goal is safety and effectiveness – without provoking the tissue. I also adjust exercises and at-home inserts so they don’t press on areas with unevenness.
Guidelines vary, but it is often recommended to avoid sex and heavy friction for 1-2 weeks and heavy exercise for the first few days. Always follow the specific advice given to you by your provider and listen to your body. Start slowly and stop if you experience pain or unusual swelling.
If you have active infection, poor wound healing, bleeding disorders or a known tendency for severe scar tissue formation, filler is rarely wise. With autoimmune conditions or immunosuppressive medication, extra caution should be exercised. Always get a personalized assessment first – and be especially cautious if you’ve had a severe reaction to fillers elsewhere on the body.
Filler primarily increases circumference in a flaccid state. When erect, the effect may seem less pronounced, and some experience unevenness if the filler is distributed differently under tension. A natural look requires both correct product selection and good placement in the tissue.
If the goal is a specific cosmetic look, filler may be an option – but be realistic about the potential and risks. If the goal is better erection, less pain and greater sexual freedom, a professional assessment and targeted treatment is usually the most effective and safe route. I help you separate cosmetic desires from functional needs so you can make the decision with peace of mind.

Are you unsure about what’s causing your symptoms, or whether a specialized treatment program at our clinic in Copenhagen would be right for you? If so, you can start with a brief, confidential consultation. During this consultation, we’ll assess whether your symptoms align with the areas I specialize in at MS Insight and determine what the next appropriate step might be.
The clarifying conversation is not a full consultation, diagnosis or treatment plan. It’s for those who want a serious assessment of whether it makes sense to proceed with a more thorough examination, ultrasound scan and individual plan.
The clinic is a private clinic offering an alternative treatment setup to the public system with shockwave, EMTT and NESA X for sexual dysfunctions and especially erectile dysfunction, peyronies and pelvic pain.
