Erectile dysfunction after stroke, back on track

When Birger had his stroke, he was already working on a film project about his businesses, but he decided to change it to follow his road back to life in his rehabilitation process in collaboration with Brain Cause.

Erectile dysfunction after stroke – why it happens and what you can do

Why does erectile dysfunction occur after a stroke?

A stroke can damage the areas of the brain that control sexual function, blood circulation and nerves, which can lead to erectile dysfunction and lack of control over urination as well. It’s not always simple, but some of the most common causes include:

• Reduced blood flow – Stroke can affect blood vessels, making it harder to get enough blood to the penis.
